Dominion Dynamics is seeking a PLM Solution Architect to design and implement the product lifecycle management backbone for a growing aerospace engineering organization. Unlike roles at mature primes where PLM systems are already established, you will architect PLM solutions from the ground up as the company scales its Structures, Propulsion, Avionics, and Systems Engineering functions. You will own end-to-end PLM platform architecture and integrations, making real trade-offs between immediate speed and long-term scalability. This is not a vendor-evaluation role; you will directly translate engineering requirements into technical solutions, define data models, lifecycle management strategy, and governance frameworks before complexity makes changes prohibitively expensive. Key responsibilities include: - Architecting end-to-end PLM solutions aligned with Dominion Dynamics' evolving engineering processes and enterprise architecture - Working directly with engineering, program, and project leads to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions - Defining PLM data models, lifecycle management strategy, integrations, and governance for growing product datasets - Configuring, customizing, and integrating the PLM platform with CAD, ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems - Setting technical standards and best practices for design release, change management, and configuration control - Mentoring engineers and specialists who will maintain the system post-implementation You will report to the Director of Aircraft Structures and work in a high-trust, fast-moving environment with direct access to leadership. Your decisions will ship rapidly and be deployed with the Canadian Armed Forces and allies. REQUIREMENTS: - Demonstrated experience architecting or implementing enterprise-scale PLM solutions on platforms such as Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, Siemens Teamcenter, or PTC Windchill - Solid grounding in product lifecycle management, including engineering change management, configuration management, and product data governance - Experience integrating PLM with CAD, CAE, ERP, MES, or other enterprise systems to support a digital thread - Ability to architect for scale and operate independently as one of the first people building this function, without relying on an existing team or system - Strong stakeholder management skills; you will work directly with engineering leads and program leadership, not just PLM specialists NICE TO HAVE: - Experience with Agile or Agile-at-Scale delivery in engineering organizations - Background in aerospace or other regulated hardware environments with configuration management requirements - Experience standing up a PLM function at an earlier-stage company - No defense background required; the company welcomes candidates from adjacent industries
