Mollie is a European fintech platform serving 250,000+ businesses with payments and money management solutions. The Governance and Compliance team within developer enablement owns critical infrastructure including Terraform IaC, PCI compliance systems, and components in the payment path.
As a Platform Engineer II, you will design, build, and maintain critical cloud infrastructure on GCP (Load Balancers, VPC, CDN, cross-region routes, API Gateway) that powers Mollie's payment systems. You'll drive automation using Go and Python to reduce manual work and enable scaling. You'll own and evolve Terraform-based infrastructure as code, managing resources with consistency and confidence across the platform.
You'll establish and maintain observability using Datadog, Google Cloud Logging, and Sentry to catch issues early. Working closely with system and software engineers, you'll collaborate with teams across compute, database engineering, edge, and networking to define and maintain SLOs/SLAs that balance business needs with merchant reliability. You'll ship new products and platform improvements while maintaining high standards for reliability and security.
This role sits at the heart of Mollie's infrastructure—the systems you build directly impact hundreds of thousands of businesses across Europe. You'll work in an environment where reliability and security are foundational, not afterthoughts, and where automation and distributed systems thinking are core to the culture.

- Strong Kubernetes experience; ability to run and operate containerized workloads in production
- Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
- Track record working in environments where reliability and security are prioritized alongside shipping speed
- Passion for automation and distributed systems; preference for scalable, repeatable solutions over one-off fixes
