Salary: USD 158,000 - 238,000 / annual
Relativity Space is building rockets to serve today's needs and tomorrow's breakthroughs. The Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting growing demand for launch capacity. This role is the senior accounting leader for the manufacturing site at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.
You will own the accuracy and integrity of site financial results and partner closely with the Plant Manager and site leadership. Key responsibilities include:
• Lead plant accounting and close activities across manufacturing costs, inventory, fixed assets, capital projects, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Own manufacturing and cost accounting, including standard costs, labor and overhead, work in process, inventory valuation, and analysis of production and manufacturing variances.
• Establish strong financial controls and disciplined processes across inventory, production reporting, purchasing, receiving, fixed assets, capital expenditures, and other plant operations.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting to translate manufacturing activity into accurate financial insights and improve business decisions.
• Build and strengthen the accounting infrastructure needed to support the transition from development and low-rate production to repeatable, rate-based manufacturing.
• Lead and develop the site accounting team.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant experience in manufacturing.
• Proven experience in plant controllership, site accounting, or manufacturing accounting leadership within a complex, capital-intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, fixed assets, and capital-project accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and plant leadership to understand operational drivers and solve complex financial issues.
• Experience building or strengthening accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting in a growing or evolving manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate financial results at the operational level and maintain a regular, hands-on presence within manufacturing operations.
NICE TO HAVE:
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant advanced qualification.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or another highly engineered manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting a transition from development or low-rate production to repeatable manufacturing, including implementing or improving standard costing and manufacturing master data.
• Experience with complex manufacturing ERPs such as Infor LN, SAP, or Oracle, along with exposure to SOX, government contracting, project accounting, data analytics, or process automation.
