FiscalNote seeks a People Team Generalist to provide operational support across the People team, partnering with People Partners and supporting Learning & Development, corporate communications, and employee engagement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Learning & Development: Partner with People Partners to identify and implement strategic and tactical learning solutions aligned with organizational needs. Track and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments (safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, certifications). Explore and incorporate AI-enabled tools to enhance L&D program design, delivery, and measurement. Corporate Communications & Global Events: Coordinate logistics for global all-hands meetings, fireside chats, and company-wide events in partnership with leadership and cross-functional teams. Prepare, deliver, and review department and corporate communications. Maintain intranet pages and static communications to ensure employees have current information about People policies, programs, and procedures. Employee Engagement: Build, administer, and analyze the organization's employee engagement survey. Partner with People Partners and leadership to translate results into actionable insights and follow-up plans. Support the design and delivery of programs that respond to engagement findings and strengthen company culture. Project Management & People Team Strategy: Coordinate across the People team to manage select strategic project plans (recurring or initiative-driven). Create and maintain project plan materials using various software platforms. Support HR projects, deliverables, and special initiatives. Support performance, recognition, and rewards processes, including updating employee data, preparing materials, providing training, and managing communications. Identify and apply AI tools to streamline People team processes, project management, and reporting. Human Resources Operations: Maintain employment and confidential files ensuring organization, compliance, and confidentiality. Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee life cycle activities. Maintain system data in LMS and Performance Management systems. Develop, implement, and enforce department processes, policies, and procedures. Provide recommendations to improve process efficiency. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Handle employment-related inquiries from pre/post hires, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters appropriately. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong organizational and project management skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail. A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude is essential. Requirements: - Minimum 3 years of administrative and/or operational support in a high-speed People team environment - Bachelor's degree in human resources, organization development, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines - Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate - Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality - Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems - High integrity; must be objective and exercise confidentiality and discretion Preferred Qualifications: - SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential - Proficiency in multiple HR disciplines (employee relations, culture, L&D, performance management, compensation, organizational diagnosis, employment law) - Experience coordinating large-scale corporate events or communications - Comfort utilizing AI tools and technologies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience building and interpreting survey or engagement data
