As a Partner Solutions Engineer, you will own and execute technical strategic partnerships, managing a live portfolio of 10-15+ concurrent partner integrations across utility billing, collections, water/metering, payments, and property-tech verticals. You will drive each integration from scoping through go-live and into stable operation, working closely with both internal technical and business teams and external partner engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning a portfolio of concurrent integrations end-to-end: scoping requirements, designing integration approaches, driving development (internal and/or vendor-side), managing testing, and achieving firm go-live dates while maintaining stability post-launch
- Serving as the technical point of contact for partners, working directly with vendor engineering and product teams to align on data needs, API usage, and implementation decisions
- Partnering with internal Engineering to shape the company's API and integration architecture, identifying gaps and making architecture decisions on data flow
- Documenting and standardizing integration patterns to accelerate onboarding of new vendors in the same category
- Managing sandbox and test environments, creating and maintaining test data for each partner
- Triaging and prioritizing high-volume, deadline-driven workloads with multiple concurrent go-lives
- Contributing to longer-term initiatives such as partner-facing documentation, API usage monitoring, partner certification programs, and self-service tooling
The role emphasizes moving at speed, full autonomy, and ownership of impact with no micromanagement.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Partnerships, Integrations, or Backend Engineering
- Strong technical foundation including understanding of system architecture fundamentals and APIs; comfortable reading and reasoning about code (Python or similar)
- Experience working directly with external technical stakeholders (vendor engineering teams, customer technical teams)
- Proven ability to manage a large number of concurrent workstreams with competing deadlines, prioritizing ruthlessly
- Ability to think strategically about integrations: assess tradeoffs, prioritize effectively, and make sound technical decisions including when to push back on a partner vs. build custom solutions
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to manage timelines, track dependencies, escalate issues, and drive work to completion under hard go-live dates
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams and document technical workflows clearly for reuse
- Nice to have: exposure to proptech, utility billing, collections, or payments/ledger workflows
