Neko Health is building preventative healthcare technology that combines proprietary hardware and clinical care to deliver personalized health insights in a single non-invasive visit. The company is transitioning from design into volume production and seeks an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer to own the electronics industrialization process.
You will serve as the bridge between the Stockholm design team and the contract manufacturer, taking stable electronics designs through transfer into production. Your core responsibilities include:
- Owning the end-to-end industrialization plan for each product, from design transfer through volume production
- Designing ICT (In-Circuit Test) and functional test fixtures for volume manufacturing, including defining test requirements
- Driving DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) improvements back into the electronics design while changes can still be implemented
- Working directly with contract manufacturers on build readiness, process optimization, and quality assurance
- Collaborating with the software team on production test software and firmware for your test fixtures
- Owning yield tracking, root-cause analysis, and closure of manufacturing issues
- Maintaining production documentation, work instructions, and test records to meet regulated product standards
- Debugging boards on the production line and determining whether issues stem from design, process, or test
This is a high-impact role where manufacturing decisions made now will shape how future products are built. The flat hierarchy means you have authority to drive changes without excessive approvals, and you'll work closely with a small, talented design team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience taking electronic products from design into volume manufacturing
- Expertise in production test fixture design (ICT and functional), including writing test requirements
- Demonstrated DFM and DFT experience with examples of design changes implemented early in the cycle
- Hands-on experience with contract manufacturers or internal production lines
- Ability to read schematics and layouts, and debug boards on the production line
- Track record in process and yield improvement with data-driven decision making
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Production, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Fluent English (C1 level or above)
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in medical devices or regulated industries, including design transfer and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and knowledge of ISO 13485
- Proficiency in testing software and scripting (Python or LabVIEW)
- Knowledge of SMT processes (panelization, AOI, X-ray inspection)
- Experience managing contract manufacturers outside Sweden and associated travel
- Familiarity with statistical process control, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies
