Lambda is a leader in AI cloud infrastructure serving tens of thousands of customers globally. As Network Infrastructure Delivery Manager, you will lead network implementation across data centers, network edges, points of presence, and backbone routes, from design planning through acceptance and handover.
You'll manage new deployments, equipment refreshes, lab builds, proofs of concept, and new product introductions. Your role bridges Engineering and Data Center Operations, turning approved network designs into working infrastructure while resolving delivery problems and verifying that contracted work meets specifications and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Network Implementation: Support Engineering during design planning by checking supplier lead times, equipment availability, and site readiness. Drive deployments, refreshes, end-of-life replacements, and special projects. Coordinate with Engineering, Product, HPC, Solutions Engineering, and account technical teams. Manage fiber paths, site access, optics, and local technicians with Data Center Operations. Maintain schedules, dependencies, and recovery plans. Own implementation drawings for network edges and bring technical changes to Engineering for approval.
Validate and Close Out Work: Own contracted circuit delivery through activation. Visit sites, coordinate physical and logical validation, and resolve gaps against approved designs. Build close-out packages with as-built drawings, meet-me-room records, test results, and approvals. Manage service changes, upgrades, disconnections, and carrier escalations. Provide Supply Chain with service dates and records for billing corrections.
Improve Implementation Practices: Develop implementation runbooks, playbooks, and acceptance checklists. Administer network delivery tools and supplier portals. Maintain shared inventory, drawings, and project records. Raise risks early and work with responsible teams to remove blockers.
Requirements:
- Experience leading network implementation in data centers, at network edges, or across carrier networks, including changes to live infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with fiber routes, cross-connects, equipment installation, and physical site readiness
- Ability to read network designs, review physical and logical test results, and identify gaps between approved scope and delivered work
- Experience coordinating engineers, site teams, and suppliers through concurrent projects, including stalled deliveries and service escalations
- Working knowledge of optical transport, lit services, wavelengths, and dark fiber, including acceptance requirements
- Experience maintaining close-out packages, drawings, reporting risks, and resolving issues
Nice to Have:
- Experience delivering labs, proofs of concept, new products, or equipment refreshes
- Ability to interpret optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) traces
- Experience administering NetBox, Jira, or carrier portals
