Salary: USD 61,000 - 66,000 / annual

The Closer/Funder role is a critical position on the Closing Team, responsible for shepherding residential loan transactions through to completion. You will be the detail-oriented expert ensuring every deal closes smoothly, on time, and with an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send accurate Initial Closing Disclosures (ICDs) to borrowers
- Troubleshoot and resolve closing issues quickly while prioritizing customer experience
- Execute the transfer of lender funds to ensure timely transaction closure
- Review all loan document details (sales price, loan amount, vesting, etc.) for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and program guidelines
- Partner with Loan Officers, Bridge Loan Specialists, Loan Assistants, and settlement teams
- Audit signed closing packages to guarantee accuracy before fund release
- Manage a pipeline of 50–60 loans per month with precision and care
- Mentor and collaborate with team members
- Support special projects and team initiatives as needed
You will work 100% remotely as part of a distributed, remote-first team across the U.S. The role requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, comfort with lending systems (particularly Meridian Link LOS), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of recent experience closing residential loans (cash-out refinance expertise highly valued)
- Ability to manage 50–60 closings per month in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to create positive experiences
- Proactive communication skills; ability to keep stakeholders informed
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Proficiency with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and lending platforms; experience with Meridian Link preferred
- Prior remote work experience and ability to stay connected in a distributed team

Bonus qualifications: experience with additional lending platforms/tools, mentoring experience, mortgage or compliance certifications.
