Lucis is building the OS for human longevity—a preventive healthcare platform that has already processed 200,000+ clinical tests across 4 countries with a 20-person team growing 10% week over week. They are seeking a Mobile Frontend Engineer to own the mobile experience end-to-end, treating the app as a craft rather than a checklist.
In this role, you will own the mobile experience across the monorepo, orchestrating AI to execute and raising the bar for engineering quality. You'll write specifications that AI agents execute, review AI-generated code with a critical eye, and make architectural decisions that compound over time. Your work will focus on the core user-facing surfaces—onboarding, core app interfaces, and the moments that convert first-time visitors into users who trust Lucis with their health. You care about the half-pixel, spring curves on transitions, and how screens feel in hand, and you can build it.
The company operates from a Paris hub and believes the fastest way to create something exceptional is working side by side. They are open to relocation support and welcome missionaries who travel to Paris regularly. The culture emphasizes rigor without ego, radical ownership with short feedback loops, and velocity over perfection—shipping daily and preferring good decisions today over perfect ones next week.
The tech stack includes TypeScript monorepo, React Native, NestJS, PostgreSQL + Prisma, AWS (Terraform, Qovery), GitHub Actions, and Claude Code + Cursor. AI is embedded as the engine across all teams, with carte blanche to explore and automate everything possible so you can focus on high-value work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years confirmed mobile engineering experience with exceptional craft and design sensibility
- Deep expertise in Expo and React Native; experience building native experiences
- Think in interactions, motion, and detail; don't wait for designs to be ready to propose delightful solutions
- Shipped at least one product from 0→1 and understand the difference between writing code and building a system
- Have 2 deep areas of expertise and can operate across the full stack when needed
- Write specs before code—precise enough that AI agents execute correctly on first pass
- Review AI-generated code with rigor: edge cases, security gaps, design smell
- Bias toward shipping; good decision today beats perfect one next week
- Genuinely interested in health (track biomarkers, frustrated with reactive healthcare)
- Thrive in fast-moving environments; learn by doing; value feedback for continuous improvement
- Use AI naturally, like a calculator, to go faster and think bigger
NOT A FIT IF:
- You need clearly scoped roles before operating
- You measure output in lines of code written
- You've only worked in large orgs with dedicated infra, QA, and platform teams
- You optimize for stability over velocity
