Plasma is building a global money account platform powered by stablecoins, enabling individuals and businesses to earn, spend, save, and invest across borders. The company operates a stablecoin payment network designed to make cross-border transactions faster, cheaper, and more reliable than traditional banking.
You will join one of three core teams: Consumer (core Plasma One product experience, onboarding, activation, retention, rewards, trading, earn), Payments (financial infrastructure including accounts, ledgers, funding, payouts, card issuing, reconciliation, payment orchestration), or Business (B2B operating account for global companies, corporate cards, spend management).
As a mid-level to senior fullstack engineer, you will own your team's product and client-side surfaces end-to-end, building in TypeScript (Node.js backend, React + React Native frontend). You'll report to your team's engineering lead and partner closely with your product lead to ship production-quality experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and own product and client-side surfaces end-to-end in React and React Native, from API to pixel
- Prioritize how a screen feels alongside correctness: performance, responsiveness, and interactions that build trust with financial data
- Design and build systems including state management, data schema design, and robust handling of real financial data
- Partner with product and design at the concept level so experience and implementation move together
- Own reliability: graceful failure handling, retries, and edge cases in a product where mistakes cost people real money
- Raise engineering quality within your team through architecture, testing strategy, performance budgets, and code review
- Mentor other engineers and drive technical clarity on the product side
- Demonstrate high agency, proactively identifying and solving problems without waiting to be directed
Requirements:
- Mid-level to senior hands-on engineer with a track record of shipping and owning production fullstack systems end-to-end
- Strong product sense: notice when something feels slow, confusing, or untrustworthy, and fix it without being asked
- Comfortable taking product surfaces from zero to one and scaling them without losing clarity or performance
- Strong judgment on tradeoffs: speed vs. polish, abstraction vs. control, simplicity vs. flexibility
- Clear communication, clean code, and ability to lead through technical and product decisions
- Experience building product-facing or client-side systems at scale
- Make decisions based on data and use data to validate whether solutions work
Nice to have:
- React Native or native mobile development experience
- Eye for interaction and motion design with track record of partnering closely with product designers
- Fintech, banking, or crypto-native background
- Founder or early employee experience at a fast-paced, high-agency startup
