Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual

Upside is a fintech/commerce platform that transforms brick-and-mortar retail by applying online retail sophistication—profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality—to drive value for consumers and merchants. Billions of dollars in commerce flow through the platform annually. The Merchant Analytics team uses data and analysis to strengthen merchant relationships, drive product insights, and influence company strategy. You'll be a manager on this close-knit team, leading analytics initiatives and collaborating across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Scope and lead data analysis projects to help merchant partners understand Upside's business impact, incremental profit drivers, and answer strategic questions - Interface directly with merchant partners to understand their business deeply and build strong analytics relationships - Manage and lead analysis projects identifying opportunities to improve product, merchant acquisition strategy, and two-sided marketplace optimization - Scale analyses and insights across merchants via scripting, BI tools, and sales enablement - Partner with Product Marketing to articulate the sophistication of Upside's technology to partners - Pioneer new data and analysis strategies as Upside expands into growing verticals This is a hybrid role based in Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC with required in-office attendance Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in quantitative management consulting, data analytics, or related role - Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or strong quantitative field (preferred) - Proven ability to distill sophisticated concepts into simple, compelling explanations - Strong project management skills; can drive analysis and cross-functional projects end-to-end - Experience leading analysis that drives business decisions and presenting to key partners - SQL proficiency for analyzing and organizing large datasets - Data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau) and programming languages (Python) a plus - Client-facing experience a plus - Experience in Grocery, Restaurant, Fuel, or Retail industries a plus - Ability to thrive in ego-free, collaborative, fast-paced startup environment
