Coram AI is building a cloud-native video security platform that uses computer vision and AI to help businesses stay safe and make smarter decisions. The platform spans front-end, backend, ML, and high-performance edge computing.
In this role, you will lead major components of Coram's edge-computing stack with a core focus on real-time video streaming. You'll ensure Coram Point (the edge device) remains fast, reliable, and intelligent while processing vision data on compute-constrained hardware.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and optimize real-time video streaming pipelines on edge devices, including applications and communication layers that process vision data on resource-limited hardware
- Deploy machine learning models to production
- Optimize the platform runtime for maximum performance, primarily working with C++ code and GPU-accelerated components
- Build observability and telemetry systems

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience writing production software in C++ and Python
- Strong experience in video processing and streaming (GStreamer)
- Experience building applications that process real-time data and optimizing for latency and memory
- Proficiency with profiling tools (gdb, Nsight, Valgrind, flame graphs)
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Resilience in challenging, fast-paced environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to influence across levels
- Plus: Edge/IoT computing experience, infrastructure management and monitoring (Salt, Grafana), ML model interfacing (PyTorch)
