Dryft builds AI models that automate complex human decisions in manufacturing operations. The company captures knowledge from experienced operators across supply chain, production planning, and engineering, then uses simulation and AI reasoning to help manufacturers optimize their operations. Customers include some of the world's largest robotics, machine, and component manufacturers. As a Member of Technical Staff, you will build the core system that decides how major manufacturers operate globally. This role combines agent-based reasoning with mathematical optimization and simulation on large-scale industrial data. Key responsibilities: - Build trustworthy AI agents that run factory operations; the largest industrial companies must trust these agents with critical processes and understand every decision made - Own features end-to-end across the LLM pipeline, infrastructure, backend, and frontend, shipping to production - Work directly with end users (factory planners) to understand their needs and build solutions that make their work 10x faster - Design routing, orchestration, and guardrails that ensure agent reliability and transparency You will directly impact what happens on the factory floor each week through the code you ship. Tech stack: Frontend (TypeScript, React, Chakra UI v3, TanStack Router/Query, Vite); Backend (Python, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, Temporal, Postgres with pgvector, Dagster); AI (Pydantic AI, Langfuse). Dryft is a small, talent-dense team backed by founders and operators from legendary tech companies, Tier-1 U.S. venture firms, and board members from global industrial companies. The team includes Stanford and Berkeley graduates, hackathon winners, and people who have built robots, race cars, and software with millions of downloads. REQUIREMENTS: - Full-stack shipping experience: production code end-to-end, scalable backend and infrastructure handling massive structured and unstructured data, and user-facing interfaces - Highly technical background with experience building something technically hard; ability to explain every decision - Strong product sense: ability to spot features in user feedback and make pragmatic trade-offs between perfection and simplicity - Attention to detail and root-cause analysis; willingness to debug complex issues thoroughly - Sense of urgency and bias toward shipping - Willingness to relocate to Munich for onsite work (visa support provided)
