Armadin Security is building autonomous proactive security systems in the AI era, founded by Kevin Mandia (founder of Mandiant, acquired by Google for $5.4B). The team includes researchers and engineers from Google, xAI, Meta, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Waterloo, Berkeley, and MIT.
In this Member of Technical Staff role, you will design and build the agentic platform that powers autonomous security agents. Your responsibilities include:
- Building the Agentic Platform: Design orchestration, tool use, planning loops, and memory systems that enable agents to reason autonomously over complex security data, turning raw models into robust product behaviors.
- Coordinate at Swarm Scale: Build distributed agentic systems with concurrent execution and observability, optimizing for latency and cost efficiency.
- Own the LLM Stack & Evals: Develop evaluation and observability systems in collaboration with domain experts to ensure agent behavior is measurable, safe, and continuously improving.
You will work across the full stack—from architecture and design through operational health and production reliability. This is an end-to-end ownership role where you turn ambiguous problems into shipped, reliable software.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep expertise in backend and distributed systems, with experience running high-stakes production environments
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, tool use, prompting, retrieval systems, OR a strong systems background with genuine enthusiasm to go deep on LLM/agentic work
- Proven ability to execute end-to-end: design, ship, and own reliability
- AI fluency and judgment—understanding when to drive broad architecture versus focus on a specific hard problem
- Strong collaboration skills with researchers, product teams, and engineers
Preferred:
- Agentic or LLM-powered systems deployed in production (beyond prototypes)
- Experience building evaluation and observability for non-deterministic systems
- Enterprise product experience focused on reliability, scale, and customer trust
- Publications in top ML venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL)
