Salary: EUR 45,000 - 65,000 / annual
Insify is a Series B business insurance company seeking an experienced Medical Underwriter to join its growing Operations team. In this role, you will independently assess complex AOV (Algemene Overlijdensrisicoverzekering / general mortality risk insurance) applications and medical dossiers, serving as a key contributor to the medical underwriting process.
You will work closely with medical specialists to evaluate complex medical cases, identify process bottlenecks, and actively contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting procedures and medical risk management policies. As the team expands across multiple European markets, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and shape how Insify approaches medical risk assessment.
The Operations team is the heart of Insify, ensuring that at every customer touchpoint—whether an application, inquiry, or complex medical situation—clients feel heard, supported, and well-served. The team works with speed, precision, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
You will work with significant autonomy, requiring minimal supervision. In exchange, Insify offers flexibility aligned with your seniority and output. The role is hybrid with flexible arrangements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in medical underwriting, preferably in AOV or comparable insurance products
- Strong medical background; you should understand medical terminology and diagnoses without explanation
- Independent, results-oriented work style
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch
- WFT certification is preferred
