Neko Health is transforming preventative care by making data-driven health insights accessible before symptoms appear. The company combines proprietary technology with direct clinical care to deliver personalized, actionable insights in a single non-invasive visit.
You will lead the design and production of all clinical and operator learning at Neko Health, reporting to the Head of Medical Education and Training. This is a builder role where you will establish the curriculum, asset library, and production processes from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design comprehensive curriculum and learning programs for all clinical populations, writing learning objectives in observable performance terms.
- Build learning assets across multiple formats (e-learning, video, job aids, facilitator guides) with modular architecture so protocol changes update components rather than requiring full rebuilds.
- Own and maintain the asset library, including taxonomy and retirement decisions.
- Write requirements for virtual practice environments and validate that Engineering's builds achieve learning objectives.
- Design assessments including rubrics, checklists, and observation tools that multiple assessors can apply consistently.
- Extract expertise from clinicians and operators through interviews and shadowing to ensure designs reflect real practice.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness using assessment and quality data (not just completion metrics) and iterate or retire underperforming content.
- Administer learning systems and maintain auditable training records for all clinicians and operators, including protocol version trained.
Today, learning content is built ad-hoc across the organization with duplicated versions. You will become the single production engine, making each new asset faster to create than the last.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years in instructional or learning design with ownership of design decisions (not production alone) and a portfolio of built products
- 4+ years applying adult learning and competency-based design principles, with ability to articulate design rationale
- 4+ years authoring e-learning, video, and written materials using current industry tools
- 3+ years designing assessments including rubrics and observation instruments (beyond knowledge checks)
- 3+ years working with subject matter experts to translate their knowledge into accurate, learnable content
- 2+ years writing requirements for technical teams and seeing projects through to working products
- 2+ years working with learning platforms and understanding content packaging, delivery, and tracking
- Practical, curious mindset with prototyping orientation; preference for rough versions tested with learners next week over polished versions in three months; ability to build maintainable solutions
NICE TO HAVE:
- Healthcare, medical device, or regulated environment experience where content requires pre-release review
- Simulation or scenario-based learning design experience, including debrief design
- Experience designing for localization and accessibility in digital learning
- Formal qualification in instructional design, learning technology, or education
