Mixpanel is a leading product intelligence and analytics platform trusted by over 29,000 companies. The Revenue Marketing team is responsible for pipeline generation across paid, website, and product-led channels.
As the Marketing Systems Engineer, you will be the sole engineering owner of the technical infrastructure powering Mixpanel's marketing website—the primary lead capture system that converts traffic into pipeline. You will set the technical direction for this surface rather than executing against someone else's roadmap.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the technical health of the marketing website: page speed, WCAG compliance, Google Tag Manager, technical SEO, and third-party integrations (Qualified, Optimizely, TrustArc)
- Building and maintaining integrations between the marketing website and the GTM stack (Salesforce, Customer.io, HubSpot) to ensure reliable data flow from lead capture to CRM
- Owning the front-end of the website form submission system—form UI, field configuration, and validation across all form types
- Improving reliability of the lead capture flow by building monitoring and alerting that surfaces failures proactively
- Owning front-end implementation in Framer, partnering with the web design team on component structure and custom interactions
- Managing the technical roadmap for this surface: identifying high-impact work, sequencing against marketing priorities, and documenting decisions before building
- Running multiple concurrent workstreams (integration builds, migrations, experimentation dependencies) while keeping them on course
- Identifying and paying down technical debt before it compounds, making explicit tradeoff calls between shipping speed and durability
You will work directly with marketing teams and partner with Growth Engineering on shared systems including handraiser routing and tracking. Website design and content are handled by the web design team; your focus is the technical infrastructure, integrations, and systems underneath.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of full-stack engineering experience with clear ownership of production systems and interest in GTM engineering
- Daily production code writing across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a marketing website context
- Strong JavaScript skills and productive in Python
- Experience designing, owning, and debugging webhook-based integrations and data pipelines in production
- Experience with Framer or similar component-based visual web CMS
- Deep hands-on experience across a B2B marketing stack: CRMs, marketing automation platforms, Google Tag Manager, A/B testing tools
- Experience with reverse ETL tools or data sync platforms (Hightouch, Census, or similar)
- Ability to take ambiguous requirements from non-technical stakeholders, scope them into a technical plan with clear tradeoffs, and ship end-to-end without oversight
- Strong communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and hold defensible positions with engineering partners
BONUS:
- Familiarity with Google Pub/Sub or event-driven pipeline architecture
- Experience with Optimizely, VWO, or similar web experimentation platforms
- Background at a product-led growth company
