Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Connected Warfare team modernizes command and control systems for military forces, with products scaling rapidly in production. You will ensure systems are tested to stringent standards while shipping the highest quality products to customers.
In this Manufacturing Test Engineer role, you will own test activities in production, maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream (from system-level checkouts to component-level validation), and improve existing test systems for better automation, consistency, cycle time, and coverage. You'll generate test work instructions for technician teams, develop failure mode libraries with troubleshooting guides, and determine root causes of product failures with corrective actions. You'll collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on customer returns and failure analysis, contribute feedback to early-stage test design for new products, and analyze test data to identify defects and improvement areas. You'll also optimize test strategies for efficiency, maintain and calibrate test equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of complex electrical issues, training technicians on equipment use, and working across mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware engineering teams on the manufacturing floor. You should have high ownership, drive to improve your skills, and comfort taking on large-scale, complex projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment
- Experience with safety protocols for high-voltage systems (208V 3-phase, 480V)
- Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization
- Familiarity with electronics test equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors)
- Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Test Execution Systems (TES)
- Experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED:
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Pursuing a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS
- Experience with computer hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.)
- Active Security Clearance
