Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America by combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing for aerospace and defense companies. The company helps customers build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. Following a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more. In this role, you will convert decades-old technical data, scanned prints, and hand-marked documentation into model-based definition (MBD). Hadrian's software handles much of the conversion, and you will review, correct, and complete what it produces. You will work on the hardest packages by hand, and your learnings will directly shape the software and processes the team runs. Key responsibilities include: - Working through customer packages across welding, assembly, NDT, and machining requirements, authoring them onto the model as linked MBD - Reviewing Hadrian's software output, correcting errors, and reporting error classes to the software team - Helping define standard workflows and quality checks to enable a larger team to run the work in the software - Reviewing other engineers' output against the definition standard - Training engineers and specialists who join the team Senior engineers in this role set the definition standard and collaborate with the software team on tool requirements. REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years of industry experience in CAD modeling, with work centered on drawings and product definition (MBD authoring, drawing checking, or legacy-data conversion) - Ability to read messy legacy prints across welding, assembly, NDT, and machining callouts, including weld and NDT symbols per AWS A2.4, and resolve ambiguity against specifications and engineering reports - GD&T to ASME Y14.5 and MBD/PMI to Y14.41 proficiency, sufficient to author definitions that manufacturing and inspection can work from directly - Experience in Teamcenter or comparable PLM system, including assembly structure, part numbering, and release workflows - Ability to review another engineer's work and turn recurring errors into preventive checks DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: - Deep Teamcenter experience, including product definition structure and governance - Experience writing requirements that a software team built against as the tool's expert user - CATIA or NX experience, including legacy-to-PLM migrations (e.g., CATIA to Teamcenter) - Experience defining processes that larger teams then executed in fast, low-process environments - Submarine, naval, or defense-program drawing experience Note: ITAR compliance required—must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
