ICON is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive the development and implementation of world-class manufacturing processes for cutting-edge construction technologies. This role is critical to ensuring products are built safely, efficiently, and at scale, meeting the highest standards of quality, certification, and reliability.
You will design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes that support scalability, efficiency, and repeatability in production. Key responsibilities include developing and managing critical quality systems—including NRTL and CE certifications—ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all manufacturing stages. You'll lead cross-functional efforts with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure seamless New Product Introduction (NPI) and transition from prototype to full-scale production.
Additional responsibilities include managing and maintaining complex Bills of Materials (BOMs), process routings, and manufacturing documentation; overseeing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to ensure accuracy, traceability, and continuity of product knowledge; and partnering with product and process engineers to evaluate manufacturability during early design phases and standardize assembly processes across product lines.
You will develop and implement advanced data-driven approaches to process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The role includes floor-level support for assembly, test, and validation activities—including hands-on root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. You'll also contribute to facility layout planning, tooling design, capacity modeling, and equipment selection to support long-term manufacturing scalability.
This role is based at ICON's Austin, TX campus and reports to the Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain.
