Salary: USD 93,000 - 120,000 / annual
Kestra Medical is a medical device company founded in 2014 that combines wearable technologies with proven cardiac device therapies. The company manufactures FDA-regulated, life-saving products and serves patients and care teams in monitoring, managing, and protecting cardiac health.
You will manage the day-to-day operations of the cash application team, overseeing the timely and accurate posting of third-party (government, commercial, private payor) and patient payments into the A/R system. You'll resolve payment posting issues, credit balances, refund requests, and other posting function responsibilities. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, as you'll be the escalated point of contact for issues. You'll drive a culture of inclusion and engagement through regular team meetings, 1:1s, and team-building activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and scheduling a team of Cash Application Specialists to cover business needs
- Hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of team members
- Ensuring accurate data entry into patient accounts and compliant payment processing
- Managing research, reconciliation, balancing, and error identification within cash application
- Gathering and reviewing cash flow data to identify risks and forecast trends
- Collaborating with Accounting and Finance teams on monthly close and audit support
- Participating in leadership meetings to report on cash position, liquidity, and trends
- Developing and refining process flows to improve departmental efficiency
- Evaluating system processes and tools to drive automation and accuracy
- Creating reporting, KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to evaluate team performance
- Supporting patient, financial, and payor audits as needed
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information per company policy
The role is in-office in Kirkland, WA, with occasional extended hours and weekend work. Occasional domestic and international travel (less than 10%) may be required. The position involves frequent computer use, repetitive motions, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment
- Minimum 2 years in cash posting within a healthcare organization
- Minimum 3 years of management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- 6 years of Manager or above leadership experience
