Salary: USD 157,000 - 174,000 / annual

Airbnb's Public Policy team is seeking a Manager to lead policy campaigns across the Southeast and Gulf region (Louisiana and Georgia). This role sits within the broader NAMER (North America) public policy function, which engages with hundreds of local, state, and national government entities to advance Airbnb's interests and educate policymakers about the platform's social and economic contributions. You will be responsible for conceiving and executing successful policy campaigns in your assigned region. Working in coordination with the Public Policy Lead, you will draft, develop, and execute integrated government relations, communications, stakeholder engagement, and mobilization plans to achieve key policy objectives. Your day-to-day work includes developing and implementing legislative priorities; reviewing legislative language and drafting policy comments; maintaining relationships with local, regional, and national government contacts; representing Airbnb in meetings with elected officials, industry associations, hosts, and stakeholders; managing external consultants and agencies; tracking legislation and regulatory matters; and ensuring progress is reported accurately with roadblocks flagged promptly. You must be meticulously organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with the ability to see the big picture and prioritize strategically. Strong independent work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate big ideas into actionable policy are essential. You will develop and maintain strong relationships across internal functions and with external stakeholders. The role requires regular travel within the assigned region and willingness to represent Airbnb at public speaking engagements. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years of experience working with policy issues in relevant contexts: tourism and accommodation business, e-commerce/internet/platform regulation, housing and landlord/tenant law, or tax issues - Ability to quickly master complex technical and regulatory issues - Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and navigate matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proficiency in planning, memo-writing, budgeting, and major computer applications - Proven track record of proactive, entrepreneurial, and results-driven work - Excellent communicator with strong presentation and writing skills - Acute attention to detail; extremely organized - Strong work ethic, professionalism, courtesy, and interpersonal skills - Ability to exercise judgment and maintain confidentiality - Flexible, poised under pressure, adaptable to changing situations - Self-starter with ability to thrive in fast-moving, sometimes stressful environments - Passion for home-sharing and Airbnb's mission - Leadership skills and experience managing people and developing teams (nice to have) - Willingness to travel regularly within assigned region
