Salary: USD 244,000 - 305,000 / annual
Datadog is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage and grow the Database Monitoring product team, one of the company's fastest-growing offerings. This role combines technical leadership with product strategy ownership, focusing on AI-driven capabilities including self-healing loops and autonomous optimization agents.
You will lead engineering teams across multiple geographies, partner closely with Product and go-to-market functions, and drive the adoption and commercial success of Database Monitoring features. Key responsibilities include:
- Launching new products and business lines into new markets
- Owning the Database Monitoring product roadmap with emphasis on AI features and developer personas
- Driving adoption and business outcomes by leveraging customer feedback and product data to guide investment decisions
- Continuously identifying new market penetration vectors with the goal of making Database Monitoring essential infrastructure for every company using a database
- Hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering managers and staff engineers across geographies
- Partnering directly with customers to refine product experiences and achieve product-market fit
- Leading go-to-market strategy and scaling exceptional product engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven track record scaling exceptional product engineering teams (hiring, coaching, performance management, team structure)
- Hands-on experience partnering directly with customers to refine products and achieve product-market fit
- Demonstrated ownership beyond product delivery, including go-to-market strategy and driving adoption/commercial success
- Experience deploying applications on Postgres
- AI-forward mindset with product engineering background preferred
