MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform serving industrial and frontline teams. The company manages 13.9 million assets and 79.5 million completed work orders for customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo. As Manager, Business Development in Raleigh, you will build and lead a BDR (Business Development Representative) team responsible for initiating customer conversations and generating pipeline. You report to the Director of Business Development and own the complete BDR function. Key responsibilities: - Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing BDR team that consistently meets pipeline targets. You set hiring standards, run the 90-day ramp process, and hold reps accountable to outcomes. - Establish a predictable pipeline cadence through weekly coaching. Diagnose root causes of misses before they impact quarterly results. - Build and continuously refine the outbound motion: define ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), craft messaging, design sequences, and manage the tech stack (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo). - Create clear career paths for each rep, including development plans with progression to Account Executive or team lead roles. Own promotion decisions and execution. - Align with Marketing and Sales on ICP evolution, campaign activation, and pipeline handoffs. Hold cross-functional partners accountable to outcomes, not intentions. Within 12 months, your team will be fully ramped and performing, pipeline will be predictable, and every rep will have clarity on their career trajectory. REQUIREMENTS: Must-haves: - 1 to 3 years of direct experience leading a BDR or SDR team at a SaaS or technology company, with documented achievement against team targets - A proven, repeatable BDR hiring process; ability to identify A-players consistently during screening - Demonstrated ability to coach rep behavior and drive output changes, not just report metrics - Data fluency: ability to pull your own reports, read pipeline signals proactively, and coach to leading indicators - Track record of holding Marketing and Sales operations accountable to pipeline outcomes rather than pipeline intent - Experience writing playbooks and building processes in environments with limited existing structure Nice-to-haves: - Experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, or operations buyers - Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) software categories
