Tripadvisor Experiences Engineering is seeking an intermediate-level MLOps Engineer to join the Internal Systems pillar, which is transforming how the company harnesses AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science to drive innovation and growth across the world's leading marketplace for travel experiences.
In this hybrid role based in London (2 days per month on-site, flexible for candidates within 1.5 hours of the city), you will empower Data Science and ML stakeholders by providing the tools and infrastructure necessary for seamless execution of machine learning and AI processes. You will support the evolution of the tech stack by developing across AWS cloud environments, adopting the latest solutions available.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining robust, scalable infrastructure to support pre-computed, batch, and real-time model needs, ensuring smooth deployment and reducing time-to-market for ML models
- Taking ownership of all aspects of software engineering, from design through implementation, QA, and maintenance
- Monitoring and supporting ML pipelines for accuracy, drift detection, enhancements, SLA compliance, and billing volumes
- Fostering innovation by generating and promoting new ideas within the MLOps domain
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders to define and document requirements for high-quality, impactful ML/AI products

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of MLOps experience, participating in building modern ML infrastructure across all stages of a model lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, demonstrating proficiency in leveraging cloud services for scalable and reliable MLOps solutions
- Strong grasp of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with CI/CD processes and platforms
- Ability to develop across diverse technology stacks and willingness to adopt new technologies
- Demonstrated experience participating in cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
- Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and pride in work
- High-quality verbal and written communication skills
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Previous exposure to Seldon, KServe, RayServe, Kubernetes, MLFlow, Sagemaker, Kubeflow, Anyscale, Valohai, ArgoCD, Docker, Python, Java, Ray, Spark, Pandas, Argo Workflow, Postgres, Snowflake, and BigQuery
- Knowledge managing complementary databases such as vector and/or graph databases
- Hands-on experience in model optimization with handling high throughput and low latency applications with cost optimization focus
- Experience with LLMOps leveraging open source models
