Salary: EUR 2,915 - 3,270 / monthly

Wolt License Services (WLS) is the payment and financial services division of Wolt, a global delivery platform operating in over 500 cities across 30 countries. WLS manages merchant payment flows across 22 markets as a licensed and supervised payment and e-money institution, with strict adherence to AML, customer fund safeguarding, and robust internal controls. We are seeking a Localisation Specialist to join our Financial Crime Prevention function, serving as the local market subject matter expert (SME) for merchant customer due diligence (CDD) requirements. You will support onboarding and ongoing monitoring activities across one or more EEA markets, working closely with Sales, Merchant Operations, Compliance, and Financial Crime Prevention teams. Key responsibilities include: - Act as the local SME for merchant onboarding and CDD requirements within designated EEA markets - Support identification, interpretation, and documentation of local market-specific requirements affecting merchant onboarding, CDD, beneficial ownership verification, and ongoing monitoring - Provide day-to-day guidance to local Sales, Merchant Operations, and Onboarding teams on CDD requirements and documentation expectations - Develop and maintain local onboarding guidance, procedures, playbooks, and training materials - Identify local regulatory, legal, and market developments impacting merchant onboarding and CDD processes - Collaborate with KYC/B Lead, AML Compliance, and Financial Crime Prevention teams to ensure local requirements are reflected in procedures, risk assessments, controls, and tooling - Support resolution of complex CDD cases, including escalations related to ownership structures, legal entity verification, and high-risk industries - Participate in quality assurance reviews and control monitoring to identify process improvements - Support testing and implementation of onboarding enhancements, new products, market launches, and CDD tooling - Foster compliance culture and act as trusted advisor to local business stakeholders You will report to the AML Lead and work in a high-growth, regulated financial services environment requiring strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Compliance, or related field - 3+ years of experience in CDD, KYC/KYB, AML compliance, merchant onboarding, financial services operations, or related areas - Strong understanding of local business environments, legal entity structures, and merchant onboarding practices within one or more EEA markets - Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations and CDD requirements applicable to financial, payment, or e-money institutions - Experience supporting operational teams and CDD or compliance-related activities in a regulated environment - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to explain regulatory requirements in practical, business-friendly manner - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international and cross-functional teams - Professional fluency in English and at least one local EEA language relevant to supported markets (highly advantageous)
