Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is seeking a Senior Legal Operations Specialist (AI & Automation) to join its legal operations team. The company is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations in agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing to harness IoT data for operational insights and improvements.
In this role, you will establish and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into legal team workload, performance, and outcomes. You'll redesign and continuously improve legal processes by building scalable workflows, playbooks, and templates that enable the team to handle growing demand efficiently. You will lead internal and cross-functional legal operations initiatives end-to-end, from scoping through stakeholder alignment and execution.
Key responsibilities include managing team queues to ensure prompt resolution of legal inquiries and tasks, designing and implementing AI-assisted workflows to automate legal intake and contract review support, and staying current with industry trends in legal operations to drive continuous improvement. You'll champion Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally.
This is a fully remote position open to US-based candidates, with the exception of those residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, or Washington D.C. Metro Area.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of relevant operations, analytical, or technical work experience, preferably at a technology or SaaS company
- Proven ability to build and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks with comfort working with data and presenting insights to leadership
- Hands-on experience with GenAI and AI models/tools
- Demonstrated success managing workflow, intake, approval, reporting, or automation tools in legal or operations settings
- Adaptability and proactive mindset to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional problem-solving and project management skills with a track record of driving successful initiatives
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to foster cross-functional collaboration
- Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple projects
**Preferred qualifications:**
- Proficiency or path to proficiency in building and managing agentic AI workflows and other automations
- Experience with Zendesk, Ironclad, Ivo, Brightflag, or similar tools and systems
