Salary: USD 135,000 - 170,000 / annual
Adyen is seeking a Legal Innovation Specialist to join the Legal Strategy and Enablement team, driving the strategy for legal technology, workflow automation, knowledge management, and AI-driven innovation across the global legal function.
In this role, you will own the entire legal tech stack, integrating legal systems with enterprise platforms like CRMs, e-signature tools, and intake frameworks. You will establish scalable self-service portals, automate high-volume workflows, build data analytics dashboards, and deploy AI tools including Wordsmith, Ask Legal, NotebookLM, Claude, and custom AI playbooks. You will serve as a bridge between Legal and global business teams, leading complex technical implementations and transforming legal service delivery to maximize commercial velocity globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the administration, roadmap, and enhancement of key legal platforms (CLMs, e-Signature/DocuSign, repository systems, intake tools) and overseeing seamless integrations with broader enterprise platforms
- Architecting, building, and maintaining centralized self-service knowledge portals and smart resource hubs for global legal and business inquiries
- Mapping, optimizing, and automating end-to-end legal workflows, contract lifecycles, standardized guidance, and intake triage to eliminate operational bottlenecks
- Evaluating, piloting, and deploying advanced AI solutions such as automated redlining, contract metadata extraction, and prompt engineering; leading change management and adoption
- Designing and building comprehensive KPI dashboards for leadership, tracking process cycle times, portal usage, and contract turnaround times
- Partnering with Commercial Legal, Tech, and business stakeholders while managing strategic technical relationships with vendors, evaluating new tools, and ensuring system uptime, security, and data governance
The Global Legal team is centered in Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, and Singapore, and you will apply your knowledge globally across Adyen's worldwide offices, entities, and boards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Legal Operations, with strong emphasis on technology strategy, AI implementation, systems engineering, or technical product management in a legal context
- Proven track record of executing complex technical implementations and scaling global legal enablement, knowledge management, and intake systems
- Hands-on experience administering and integrating enterprise legal technologies, including CLM systems, e-signature tools, CRM platforms, and workflow automation engines
- Deep familiarity and hands-on technical proficiency with AI tools, prompt engineering, playbook configuration, and metadata extraction (e.g., Wordsmith, Ask Legal, NotebookLM, Claude, Google Workspace/Gemini)
- Strong expertise in data analytics, visualization, and building KPI dashboards to measure operational impact
- Technical problem-solving mindset with solid knowledge of legal data privacy, security, and governance standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced technology environment with proven ability to prioritize, lead change management, and solve problems proactively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate complex legal and technical concepts into actionable strategies
