You will join H's Legal team in Paris as Legal Counsel, reporting to the General Counsel. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Paris office.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft and provide strategic advice on a wide range of contracts, including AI-related service agreements, to enable deal-making and revenue generation
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, customers, and other stakeholders, developing markup strategies and negotiation arguments
- Stay current on AI-related legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical contract adaptation and negotiation guidance
- Collaborate closely with technical and business teams to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in AI technology deployment
- Support other legal matters as needed, including labor law, corporate law, and competition law
- Help adapt contracts to the evolving AI regulatory and compliance landscape, with particular attention to data privacy
Requirements:
- Master's degree in law and bar admission
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in technology or AI-focused environments involving contract negotiation
- Strong knowledge of data privacy and protection (GDPR and related frameworks), intellectual property, contract law, liability, regulatory compliance, and AI-specific legal issues
- Soft skills: excellent communication, international mindset, adaptability, and autonomy
- Experience in a fast-growing environment
