As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor driving innovation across Razorpay's payment infrastructure and platform. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work on building scalable systems that power payments, fraud detection, reconciliation, payouts, and financial insights across India, Singapore, and Malaysia.
You will be involved in and drive product and design discussions, helping shape REST API decisions for developers worldwide. You'll contribute to scaling payment infrastructure to enable online payments for millions of Indians, participate in open-source initiatives, and brainstorm new strategic directions for the company. This role requires someone who is innovative, quality-focused, product-minded, and business-conscious—not just a coder, but an engineer with deeper technical context who can see nuances others might miss. You're expected to influence company culture and help shape it positively.

**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of experience in technology
- Strong product design sense
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: PHP, Python, Django, Golang, Java, or C++
- Ability to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and deliver effective solutions
- Good understanding of REST APIs and web fundamentals
- Ability to build features from scratch and drive them to completion
- Willingness to learn new technologies as needed
- Preferred: side projects on GitHub, open-source contributions, product company experience, backend programming language proficiency
