You'll join as a Lead Product Engineer with high ownership over the AI agent experience. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and technical execution: you'll define what happens when an AI agent visits a customer's website, build features end-to-end, and ship them to production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building customer-facing features from problem definition through production deployment, using edge functions (Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Vercel Edge) as core tools
- Recognizing AI traffic patterns and serving AI-optimized page versions in real time
- Integrating with customer CDN and hosting setups (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, Vercel) with simple, safe onboarding and instant rollback capability
- Understanding how pages render from an AI agent's perspective and translating that into product decisions
- Learning how AI agents and crawlers access the web, including Web Bot Auth and verified bot signals
- Building observability so customers see exactly what AI agents requested and what was served
- Using modern AI tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor) to accelerate development and problem-solving
- Making pragmatic architectural decisions that scale with customer needs, avoiding over-engineering
You'll operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced environment, making decisions with incomplete information and talking directly with customers to identify real problems worth solving.
Requirements:
- Senior-level product engineering experience: proven track record shipping customer-facing features end-to-end with genuine focus on adoption and usage
- Working knowledge of CDNs and HTTP fundamentals (caching, headers, cache keys) with hands-on experience integrating into customer infrastructure without breaking production
- Strong product instincts: ability to conduct customer conversations, identify root problems, and prioritize what's worth building
- Genuine curiosity about how AI agents and crawlers access and interact with the web
- Experience thriving in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and make sound decisions without perfect information
- Production-quality code writing (primary language is Python) with tested, versioned, and safely-rollout-able changes
Bonus qualifications (not required):
- Browser automation experience (Playwright, Puppeteer)
- Production edge function experience (Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Vercel Edge)
- Web Bot Auth, HTTP message signatures, or bot management tools
- Frontend or full-stack engineering background
- Latency and cost-per-request optimization experience
