You'll join as a Product Engineer with high ownership over the AI agent experience. This role bridges product thinking and engineering execution: you'll define what happens when an AI agent visits a customer's website, build features end-to-end from customer problem to shipped solution, and measure impact with real customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Build product end-to-end using edge functions (Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Vercel Edge) to serve AI-optimized content in real time
- Recognize and handle AI traffic, serving the right content instantly to different agent types
- Integrate with customer CDNs and hosting platforms (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, Vercel) with simple, safe onboarding
- Understand how AI agents and crawlers access the web, including Web Bot Auth and verified bot signals
- Build observability features so customers see exactly what AI agents requested and what was served
- Use modern AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) to accelerate development and problem-solving
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions that scale without over-engineering
You'll operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced environment, talking directly with customers to identify real problems and decide what's worth building.
Requirements:
- Senior-level product engineer with shipped customer-facing features end-to-end and demonstrated care for actual usage
- Working knowledge of CDNs and HTTP (caching, headers, cache keys) with hands-on integration experience
- Strong product instincts: ability to talk to customers, identify root problems, and prioritize what to build
- Genuine curiosity about how AI agents and crawlers access the web
- Experience in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
- Production-quality code (primarily Python); ability to ship tested, versioned, safe changes
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and making decisions without perfect information
Bonus (not required):
- Browser automation experience (Playwright, Puppeteer)
- Production edge function experience
- Web Bot Auth, HTTP message signatures, or bot management tools
- Latency and cost-per-request optimization
