Salary: USD 170,000 - 230,000 / annual
Atticus is a venture-backed legal technology platform that has helped hundreds of thousands of Americans access over $10B in life-changing aid. The company has built the largest Social Security Disability practice in the country and is now scaling a personal injury practice to help accident and injury victims obtain compensation from insurance.
You will serve as the founding attorney leading the build-out of Atticus's personal injury legal practice from the ground up. This is a leadership role combining hands-on legal work with operational and strategic responsibilities. You will own legal operations end-to-end: case selection, case strategy, client representation from intake through resolution, and team management. You will manage a team of attorneys and non-attorney professionals across intake and case management, reporting to the General Manager and partnering closely with the CEO and Managing Attorney.
Day-to-day responsibilities include directly representing severely injured clients in pre-litigation negotiation, mediation, and trial; partnering with marketing to develop client-facing brand differentiation; and working with the product team to establish protocols for client support and high-value case handling. This role uniquely blends traditional law firm practice with a startup environment: you'll build alongside software engineers, product managers, and operators whose focus is scaling your practice. You'll have substantial resources and runway to invest meaningfully in the firm.
The company is remote-first with flexibility, though the role requires California licensure and occasional travel to Los Angeles for in-person collaboration and company offsites.
