Develop Health is building AI-powered automation for healthcare workflows, specifically benefit verification and prior authorization. The company has helped over 2.5 million patients and partners with major pharmacy benefit managers and payers. You'll join a team of experienced founders and engineers who previously built and exited successful healthcare startups.
As Analytics Engineer, you'll own the analytics function at Develop Health. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with full ownership of the analytics roadmap, data platform, stakeholder relationships, and both internal and customer-facing analytics products.
In your first 3–6 months, you'll work directly with Product, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market leaders to identify high-impact decisions where better data changes outcomes. You'll strengthen the dbt and Snowflake foundation, establish trusted metrics for patient access and operational performance, advance the customer-facing analytics product so customers can identify bottlenecks and take action, and build governed analytics agents and self-service workflows that turn repeated requests into reliable capabilities.
Beyond 6 months, you'll own the analytics roadmap and operating model for discovering and delivering the company's highest-value data work. You'll build a shared semantic and metrics layer that keeps internal decisions, customer reporting, and AI-generated analysis consistent. You'll architect an AI-native, self-service analytics platform that gives a lean analytics function disproportionate reach—enabling internal teams to answer routine questions and investigate changes without sacrificing accuracy or trust. You'll also establish the architecture and standards that let data products scale with the company and provide technical mentorship for future analytics hires.
The role is based in Menlo Park with an expectation to work from the office at least three days per week.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Clear communication skills to surface assumptions, explain trade-offs, and make complex data useful to technical and non-technical partners
- Excitement about building with AI agents and emerging analytics tools while owning definitions, validation, and guardrails that make their answers trustworthy
BONUS:
- Experience owning or helping build an analytics function
- Experience building customer-facing analytics or data products
- Familiarity with Grafana, Hex, Looker, Mode, Python, orchestration, or ingestion systems
- Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or automation-heavy operational environments
