Salary: USD 112,000 - 149,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities, is seeking a Lead Accountant for M&A Accounting to support its hyper-growth and scale global integration efforts. You will report directly to the Director, M&A Accounting and be a key member of a dedicated team focused on centralizing M&A-related accounting responsibilities.
In this role, you will actively support and partner with M&A accountants in executing all M&A-related accounting activities. Key responsibilities include leading pre-close accounting and tax due diligence for target acquisitions; preparing Day One post-acquisition readiness including accounting onboarding and integration planning of people, processes, policies, and technology for acquired accounting teams; traveling on Day One post-acquisition to deliver comprehensive overviews of Anduril's systems and processes to newly acquired teams; leading preparation and detailed review of closing balance sheets with key stakeholders; preparing final closing statements and supporting schedules; executing the opening balance sheet crosswalk process; supporting hands-on integration of acquired accounting processes; facilitating onboarding of new accounting team members to Oracle Fusion and related systems; providing operational and supervisory support including temporarily filling in for departed team members; and coordinating closely with cross-functional teams including Corporate Development, Legal, PMI, CorpTech, Tax, Technical Accounting, and General Accounting.
You will be highly execution-oriented, comfortable moving at an incredibly fast pace, and skilled at supporting complex financial integrations. The ideal candidate brings a mix of in-house corporate and consulting experience, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change in a high-growth, fast-paced organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles (Lead/Manager level) or consulting roles (Senior/Supervisor/Manager level); mix of both in-house corporate and consulting experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A accounting, financial due diligence, or business integrations
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience supporting integration of acquired business processes into ERP ecosystems
- Highly developed IQ and EQ with communication skills necessary to navigate complex personnel integrations and cross-functional partnerships
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change in high-growth, fast-paced organization
- Highly collaborative and hands-on professional eager to dive into details to drive execution
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or similar equivalent preferred
- CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA preferred
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
