xDOF is seeking a LATAM Operations Lead to own the build-out of the company's ground-level data acquisition operation across Mexico and Brazil. This is a 0-1 role that will take the region from startup to a fully operating, self-auditing local network.
You will own the end-to-end pipeline of securing high-fidelity physical-world data (Egocentric, Teleoperation, etc.) — from signing individual high-value venues to institutionalizing multi-scenario local partnerships. This includes:
• Data Collection Scene Expansion: Develop and execute the ground-level expansion strategy to build a diversified pipeline of robotics data collection venues and access points across retail, logistics, industrial, and urban environments. You will source, pitch, and close partnerships with venue operators and facility managers.
• Team Building & Management: Recruit, train, and manage data collection execution teams from the ground up. Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure data integrity, operational velocity, and consistent quality across all collection sites.
• Efficiency Optimization: Monitor offline operational data to optimize workflows and staffing models. Control cost per usable hour while maximizing data output and collection volume. Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Hardware Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, calibration, and lifecycle management of multi-modal data collection hardware across distributed sites.
• Operational Feedback & Documentation: Provide clear operational feedback to central teams, document market learnings as reusable SOPs and playbooks for future market expansion, and translate technical data specifications into field operational blueprints.
This role requires frequent travel within the LATAM region and direct execution in unstructured, high-friction environments. You will work cross-functionally with technical teams, data scientists, and hardware engineers to ensure field operations align with AI/ML data requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3–5+ years of experience managing field operations, growth, or ground execution for major tech platforms, IoT companies, or hardware-enabled startups
• Proven track record of sourcing, onboarding, and managing SME partnerships and vendor networks (Required)
• Working proficiency or fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or other target-market languages (highly preferred)
• Solid grasp of Embodied AI and machine learning data fundamentals (e.g., Teleoperation workflows, Egocentric/First-Person vision requirements) with ability to translate technical data specifications into field operational blueprints
• Resilient, "builder" mindset with high tolerance for ambiguity
• Comfortable traveling frequently and executing directly in unstructured or high-friction environments
• Strong cross-functional capability: analytical funnel management (SQL/Excel, conversion rates) combined with high-stakes, face-to-face field negotiation skills
