Salary: CAD 60,000 - 73,000 / annual
Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Jurisdiction Compliance Analyst to support the expansion of sports betting and iGaming operations into Canada. You will report to the Senior Manager, State Compliance within the Regulatory Affairs team and collaborate with Legal, Product, Payments, Operations, and Responsible Gaming teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop expertise in compliance requirements across multiple Canadian jurisdictions, particularly Ontario and Alberta
- Track regulatory requirements and work with internal teams to ensure compliance
- Assist business teams in developing procedures and processes to meet regulatory obligations
- Maintain and revise the company's regulatory internal controls
- Build and maintain relationships with gaming regulators across jurisdictions
- Support licensing, registration, and regulatory examination activities with gaming authorities
- Monitor regulatory developments and escalate relevant changes to stakeholders
- Prepare and maintain regulatory reporting obligations and compliance documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and reduce compliance risk
- Manage multiple projects with clear communication
- Support cross-functional teams during new product launches and market expansion
- Provide ongoing regulatory support and guidance across the business

Requirements:
- 2-4+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory operations experience, preferably in online gaming or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks, including Ontario and Alberta gaming requirements (preferred)
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, act independently, and become a subject matter expert on regulatory and legal requirements
- Strong analytical and drafting skills
- Experience communicating with senior management and government authorities
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and cross-functionally
- Self-starter comfortable in a startup atmosphere
- Curious, fast learner willing to tackle complex regulatory and operational challenges
