Develop working understanding of governance between Norm AI and Norm Law. **Commercial & Go-to-Market:** Draft and review commercial agreements (NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, vendor contracts) and build repeatable templates and playbooks. Review engagement letters and client proposals, support client intake for Norm Law, and help operationalize go-to-market motions. **Employment, IP & Data Security:** Support day-to-day employment and HR matters, maintain employment templates and policies with multi-state compliance in mind. Manage IP ownership, assignment, and protection. Support data privacy and security compliance including customer and vendor data terms and regulatory requirements. **Strategic Collaboration:** Coordinate with outside counsel, prepare materials, and learn escalation protocols. Build legal function infrastructure including matter tracking, templates, and approval workflows. Partner cross-functionally with leadership, Operations, People/Talent, and the Norm Law team. The role is designed for an ambitious lawyer who wants broad practice-area coverage and thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. You'll sit at the intersection of law and AI and see firsthand how the future of legal practice is being built. **Requirements:** - JD and barred in at least one state (NY preferred) - 2–3 years of experience at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a high-growth company - Generalist by inclination with broad coverage across corporate, commercial, employment, IP, and data privacy/security - Strong corporate/transactional foundation with range and curiosity to pick up adjacent areas quickly - Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ownership; ability to be trusted with sensitive corporate, personnel, and client matters - Pragmatic and business-minded; comfortable finding paths to "yes" with appropriate guardrails - Highly organized and systems-oriented with low-ego, action-oriented mindset - AI fluency required: candidates must actively use AI in day-to-day work and be prepared to demonstrate concrete examples of tools, workflows, and outcomes throughout the interview process **Pluses:** - Exposure to startup equity, employment matters, IP, data privacy, or venture financings - Familiarity with law firm operations or professional-services go-to-market - Genuine enthusiasm for AI and its implications for legal services
