- Own Tier 1 and Tier 2 support from intake through resolution (login/MFA issues, application errors, VPN/connectivity, device performance)
- Establish effective IT support processes with clear response and resolution time expectations
- Manage employee account creation, access changes, and deactivation across company systems
- Own identity and access management including SSO, MFA, permissions, role-based access, and regular access reviews
- Administer core systems (Google Workspace, Slack, password management, company-wide tools)
- Apply least-privilege principles and regularly identify stale accounts and unnecessary permissions
- Own device management including MDM, endpoint security, encryption, patching, software deployment, and device compliance
- Manage hardware lifecycle (inventory, troubleshooting, repairs, replacements, warranties, secure disposal)
- Partner on employee onboarding/offboarding, owning technical and security components
- Monitor and triage EDR and security alerts, investigate detections, and escalate incidents
- Tune security alerts to reduce noise and improve monitoring effectiveness
- Serve as first responder for endpoint security incidents (isolating devices, collecting artifacts, preserving evidence)
- Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, cyber insurance, and customer security reviews with technical evidence
- Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, vendors, security controls, and recovery procedures
- Ensure critical systems have administrative redundancy
- Manage IT and security vendors, licenses, warranties, and operational expenses
- Review SaaS usage to identify unused accounts and consolidation opportunities
- Develop automation and employee self-service resources
- Assess current IT/endpoint security environment and recommend improvements for scaling
Requirements:

- Strong experience with identity and access management (SSO, MFA, user provisioning, permissions, role-based access, privileged access)
- Experience administering Google Workspace, Slack, password management, and SaaS tools
- Hands-on experience with MDM/endpoint management (Kandji, Jamf, Intune, Workspace ONE) including policy building and deployment
- Experience with EDR or endpoint security tooling (reviewing detections, understanding process activity, isolating endpoints)
- Working knowledge of security fundamentals (least-privilege access, endpoint security, encryption, patching, secure offboarding, incident response)
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, ability to distinguish network from device/application issues)
- Experience with ticketing systems and managing support requests against defined expectations
- Strong independent troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, account, access, and endpoint issues
- Systems-oriented mindset with ability to turn informal processes into clear, repeatable workflows
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to operational details
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Service-oriented and patient approach to supporting employees with varying technical proficiency
- Strong judgment and ability to prioritize between support issues, security alerts, and operational projects
- Comfort working independently and taking ownership from identification through resolution
- Good judgment about when to solve, automate, escalate, or bring in outside expertise
- High degree of discretion and confidentiality
- Experience working remotely and/or in startup environments
