Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket to deliver customer payloads to orbit and advance space exploration. The Launch team operates at the intersection of all major aspects of the rocket program, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. Cape Canaveral is where first flights happen and where the full scale of the program comes together.
In this role, you will design, develop, test, integrate, and operate launch control and acquisition hardware, instrumentation, and cameras that support and control the Terran R rocket. You will work with Beckhoff PLCs or similar control systems and support high-speed data acquisition systems. Your responsibilities include working with diverse instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, accelerometers, solenoid valves, VFDs, and heaters), integrating and operating high-speed cameras (IP, SDI, and CoaXPress), and assisting in the design of electrical systems for hazardous areas. You will plan, install, and operate wiring and hardware in access-limited areas such as launch mounts and transport erectors. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential to gather requirements, plan schedules, and coordinate work.
This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace infrastructure at a pivotal moment—early enough to shape the product and culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and gaining momentum. You will have autonomy and ownership at every level, solving problems that haven't been solved before and seeing your work come to life in record time.
Note: Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at this government partner location.

- Ability to work with multidisciplinary groups in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
**Nice to haves:**
- Experience with the design and operation of spacecraft and launch vehicle infrastructure
- Experience working at a rocket launch site
- Proficiency with electrical schematic design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or Zuken E3
