Namespace Labs is building a developer infrastructure platform that dramatically accelerates CI/CD pipelines and build processes. The company has already deployed its solution across hundreds of companies globally, helping engineering teams eliminate waiting time and ship features faster. In this role, you will own the software that powers Namespace's hardware infrastructure. You'll architect and build the control planes, automation systems, and observability tooling that manage a global fleet of high-performance compute resources. Your work will directly impact how efficiently the platform scales—increasing the number of machines managed per engineer while maintaining reliability and performance. Key responsibilities include: - Building and automating fleet management services: provisioning, health checks, upgrades, and incident remediation - Embedding observability, graceful degradation, and rollback mechanisms throughout the infrastructure stack - Designing and evolving a high-throughput, low-latency network fabric optimized for high-performance use cases - Developing clean, testable code (primarily Go) that treats the fleet as a first-class API - Driving efficiency improvements in utilization and power-to-performance ratios - Collaborating with product, infrastructure, and platform teams to deliver developer-facing features such as storage-aware scheduling and cache volumes Namespace's culture emphasizes grit, curiosity, and execution velocity. The team is small, expert-driven, and balances long-term vision with pragmatic short-term delivery. The company operates with full internal transparency on decision-making and company performance. Requirements: - Proven experience engineering large-scale infrastructure systems—specifically writing software that runs fleets, not just operating existing hyperscaler platforms - Deep expertise in network architecture, data-center design, and performance tuning - Hands-on experience deploying and managing compute hardware at scale (servers, switches, etc.) - Fluency with modern orchestration and automation tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible) and sound judgment about when to build versus buy - Track record of delivering reliable systems and demonstrable efficiency gains
