Lambda is an AI cloud infrastructure company serving tens of thousands of customers from AI researchers to enterprises and hyperscalers. The People Team is building a high-growth organization focused on clarity, fairness, growth, and operational excellence.
As an HR Generalist, you will manage a diverse portfolio of people operations projects and programs that shape the employee experience from hire to retire. You will champion Lambda's culture and values across the organization, ensuring they are reflected in every employee touchpoint.
Key responsibilities include:
- Champion company culture, mission, and values throughout the employee experience
- Partner with the HR team to deliver seamless new hire onboarding, including pre-boarding communications, Day 1 coordination, cultural integration, and comprehensive onboarding plans
- Own end-to-end offboarding processes, including exit interviews, access deprovisioning, system updates, and ensuring positive departures
- Provide timely HR support via JIRA ticketing system, responding to employee and manager questions
- Serve as backup for payroll processing, supporting reviews and issue resolution
- Support HR compliance activities, including regulatory filings, required reporting, and employee notices
- Maintain workplace postings and ensure all federal, state, and local labor law notices are current
- Administer employee leaves, accommodations, and grievances with proper documentation
- Support HRIS data integrity and employee lifecycle changes in Rippling and Workday
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist or People Operations experience, preferably in fast-paced technology or high-growth environments
- Strong working knowledge of core HR operations and employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leaves, accommodations, payroll, compliance)
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects and drive completion with limited oversight
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy with employee data and compliance
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Experience with HRIS and HR technology platforms; Rippling and/or Workday experience is a plus
Nice to have:
- Human Resources project management experience
- Experience developing, documenting, and improving HR processes, policies, SOPs, and internal controls
- Experience in high-growth startup environments with ability to adapt to evolving priorities
