Jerry.ai is a pre-IPO fintech startup building an AI-powered platform to make car ownership affordable and accessible through insurance, buying/selling, registration, loans, diagnostics, and more. The company has raised $240M, achieved 70X revenue growth in 5 years, amassed 5M+ customers, and scaled to 225 employees across 6 countries. They are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations and help build scalable processes as the company grows. Reporting to the Director of HR Operations, you will own the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding. Key responsibilities include: managing new employee onboarding and compliance (I-9 verification, state new-hire filings, benefits enrollment); administering employee files and benefits; researching federal, state, and local employment law requirements to ensure compliance; drafting and refining HR policies and procedures for leadership review; preparing HR documents including offer letters and employment contracts; serving as a first point of contact for employee HR questions; partnering with People Operations Associates and HR Administrators; supporting employee engagement initiatives including surveys, recognition programs, and team events; and identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes using AI tools. You will operate independently with minimal oversight, research compliance requirements, and escalate complex matters as needed. The role emphasizes a service-first mindset, attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to creating a positive employee experience. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in any discipline - 2-4 years of hands-on HR generalist experience, ideally at a small or high-growth company where you owned the full employee lifecycle - Working knowledge of HR compliance and employment law fundamentals, with ability to research and apply new requirements - Experience implementing and building HR automations and systems - Comfortable working in HRIS platforms - SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred - Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to operate independently and take ownership with minimal oversight - Solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality with sensitive information - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail
