The Head of Risk (Non-Retail) role is a leadership position responsible for designing and implementing a globally scalable risk framework for first-line, non-retail risks. You will build and lead a portfolio management team, initially focused on continuous monitoring processes for receivables and payables finance. This is a strategic role that shapes risk governance and culture across the organization. Key responsibilities include: - Designing a globally scalable risk framework, establishing governance structures, and strengthening risk culture and awareness across the business - Collaborating with Data Science and Engineering teams on the creation of origination, monitoring, provisioning, and collections risk models to optimize portfolio returns - Building and leading a portfolio management team, initially focusing on continuous monitoring processes for receivables and payables finance - Shaping local in-country credit policies and procedures to maximize portfolio-level economic returns - Providing thought leadership on defining and evolving the risk appetite for mid-market, corporate, and enterprise features - Making key underwriting decisions for significant exposures and representing the first-line team on relevant risk committees - Maintaining a solid working relationship with the second line of defense - Supporting department objectives and planning processes Requirements: - Expertise in managing credit risk for mid-market products - Ability to build and scale a team from scratch, identifying key business needs and support needs for future business growth - Solid understanding of credit policy governance and experience working effectively with 2LoD and 3LoD (second and third lines of defense) - Experience in risk and fraud identification, monitoring, control implementation, and testing - Ability to plan strategically, manage interdependencies, and deliver exceptional results that exceed requirements - Excellent communication skills with a clear, concise, and structured approach to explaining complex concepts - Impressive analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to process complex information for optimal decision-making - Experience balancing thorough risk assessment with the need for timely execution and business impact Nice to have: - Experience with trade finance products
