Pagaya is an AI-driven fintech company reshaping the financial services ecosystem through machine learning, data networks, and sophisticated credit solutions. The company serves partners, customers, and investors with consumer credit and residential real estate products, operating offices in New York and Tel Aviv. You will serve as the commercial lead for the Personal Loans portfolio, driving strategic portfolio management and quantitative analysis to improve business outcomes. You will manage a distributed team of 7-8 direct reports based in NYC and Tel Aviv, owning deal economics, pricing, and portfolio strategy. This is a player-coach role requiring both hands-on analytical leadership and team management during a critical organizational transition. Key responsibilities include: - Performing and reviewing deep quantitative analysis of the Personal Loans portfolio to drive profitable growth across the full customer lifecycle (acquisition, collections, recovery) - Acting as a key liaison for partner-facing alignment, translating portfolio strategies and analytics into win-win outcomes - Leading risk-based pricing frameworks and unit economics to maximize margins and risk-adjusted yield while maintaining market competitiveness - Building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing team of analytics and portfolio professionals, including international team members in Israel - Collaborating cross-functionally with Risk, Product, Capital Markets, and Engineering to align strategies and uncover new revenue opportunities Requirements: - 12+ years of progressive experience in consumer lending, credit strategy, or portfolio management - At least 3 years in a player-coach role managing distributed or international teams (experience managing teams in Israel is a strong plus) - Demonstrated success driving portfolio strategies, optimizing pricing, and navigating credit environments through rigorous quantitative analysis - Deep understanding of consumer credit risk and data-driven decision making - Exceptional ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into clear executive-level recommendations - Proven track record of driving customer alignment and managing through organizational transitions
