Midstream is an AI-native financial operating system for health systems that provides real-time visibility into margin risk and actionable insights for finance, supply chain, and managed care teams. The company transforms structured, unstructured, and external data into contract-aware intelligence, unifying spend and revenue operations across the healthcare back-office.
You will serve as Strategic Finance and Operations Lead, working directly with the CEO on consequential company decisions. This role combines financial leadership with strategic partnership at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape company-level decisions by taking ownership of analysis and thinking behind major strategic choices; turn ambiguous questions into clear choices and develop independent points of view
- Own the forward-looking financial and operating view of the business, including growth, revenue, headcount, expenses, burn, runway, and capital needs; connect numbers to business realities and surface material assumptions and risks
- Build and maintain trusted investor and Board relationships; own preparation and management of key stakeholder interactions; develop clear, credible materials and communications
- Drive capital strategy and fundraising readiness; determine when and why to raise capital, connect operating choices to runway and financing needs, and keep the company prepared for financing processes
- Lead high-impact cross-functional priorities that span multiple teams; build context quickly, work across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Operations; challenge assumptions and drive execution to outcome
You will move fluidly between detailed financial analysis and high-level company strategy, serving as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team.
Requirements:
- Strong foundation in finance with deep understanding of how businesses and investments are evaluated
- Several years of experience in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, investment banking, strategic finance, or similarly analytical environment
- Ability to move comfortably between detailed financial analysis and high-level company strategy
- Intellectually curious; reason from first principles rather than relying solely on established frameworks
- Comfortable developing and defending a point of view with incomplete information
- Clear communicator with senior stakeholders; ability to build trust over time
- High standards, low ego; comfortable challenging assumptions including those of senior leaders
- Desire for significantly more ownership and responsibility in next role
- Motivated to build and own outcomes, not simply analyze or advise from the sidelines
