Gryps is an AI operating system for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. The company helps institutional owners—hospital systems, universities, airport authorities—manage multi-billion-dollar capital programs by connecting fragmented data across emails, spreadsheets, and disconnected systems, providing AI-powered tools for finding answers, managing risk, automating work, and accelerating decision-making.
You will lead a team of 4–6 customer success and implementation professionals, owning the full post-sale relationship and driving measurable value for customers. This is a player-coach role reporting directly to the CEO, working with large institutional customers and their executives.
Key responsibilities:
**Team Leadership & Development**: Manage, coach, and develop a team of 4–6 customer success and implementation professionals, many early in their careers. Set clear expectations, provide direct feedback, and build their construction domain knowledge and client-facing confidence. Establish playbooks, standards, and rituals for consistent delivery: onboarding frameworks, implementation checklists, account reviews, and health scoring.
**Value & Data Strategy**: Work with customers to identify high-value use cases across capital programs (cost and change tracking, schedule risk, document and contract intelligence, closeout, portfolio reporting). Prioritize by business impact and feasibility. Design data strategies for each use case: which data sources to connect, how to organize and validate unstructured and structured data, and how outputs tie back to customer systems of record and decisions. Translate customer outcomes into quantified value stories for executives.
**Customer Relationships**: Serve as trusted advisor and executive sponsor for accounts, from project managers to VPs of Facilities, Capital Planning, and Real Estate. Lead executive business reviews connecting product usage to program outcomes. Represent the customer's voice internally, partnering with Product and Engineering on requirements, feedback, and roadmap priorities.
**Adoption & Efficiency**: Own adoption and engagement metrics across your book of business. Identify at-risk accounts early. Run implementation for speed and repeatability, removing bottlenecks and standardizing processes to shorten time to first value and full deployment.
**Revenue Ownership**: Own gross and net revenue retention for your accounts, including renewal forecasting, negotiation, and execution. Identify and close expansion opportunities (new use cases, departments, programs, campuses), working with Sales on commercial strategy.
**Requirements:**
- 8+ years of construction domain experience with deep understanding of how capital projects are planned, delivered, and closed out, and the data flowing through each phase
- Engineering or quantitative background (degree in civil, mechanical, or construction engineering, construction management, or analytical field) plus comfort reasoning about data structures, metrics, and systems
- Executive presence; credibility with senior owner leadership; ability to run boardroom conversations and hold a point of view under pressure
- Track record of coaching early-career professionals and building teams that measurably improve under your leadership
- Clear, structured communication (written and verbal); ability to explain complex technical and data concepts simply to field teams and executives
- Experience designing data strategies or proven ability to connect business problems to data sources, workflows, and outcomes
- Commercial ownership; comfort being accountable for renewal and expansion revenue
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience at an owner organization (health system, university, airport, public agency, large real estate owner) managing capital programs from the owner's side
- Experience implementing or managing construction technology platforms (Procore, e-Builder, Unifier, Kahua, or enterprise data and AI tools)
- Familiarity with BIM, digital twins, GIS, or facilities and asset management data
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth software company
