Salary: USD 145,000 - 250,000 / annual

Meter builds enterprise networking hardware that businesses depend on for reliable connectivity. We are seeking a Hardware Engineer to drive the end-to-end execution of our next-generation hardware products, from concept through mass production. In this role, you will own the complete lifecycle of hardware programs, including prototype development (EVT/DVT/PVT phases) and production launch. You will serve as the technical bridge between Meter's internal teams (firmware, mechanical, supply chain, operations) and our JDM (Joint Design Manufacturer) partners in Taiwan and globally. Your responsibilities include: - Driving hardware program execution with relentless focus on hitting milestones while maintaining quality and performance standards - Leading program reviews and risk management, surfacing blockers early and ensuring cross-functional alignment - Collaborating on system architecture, requirements definition, and build schedules with manufacturing partners - Participating in design reviews and validation planning alongside mechanical and firmware engineers - Coordinating with operations and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and scalability - Traveling to Taiwan and other locations to work directly with manufacturing and design teams - Engaging in hands-on problem-solving, from schematic reviews to factory floor debugging You will work with a team building industry-leading networking hardware for ambitious companies including Bridgewater, Lyft, and Reddit. The role requires balancing speed, quality, and performance while maintaining the high standards our customers expect. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field - Ability to read schematics and understand PCB layout fundamentals - Strong understanding of hardware development processes (design, bring-up, validation, manufacturing) - Solid grasp of system architecture and technical tradeoffs - Experience managing external partners (JDM, suppliers, vendors) - Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to track multiple workstreams - Strong ownership mentality and proactive follow-through on issues, risks, and dependencies - Clear communication skills and ability to work across disciplines - Experience with prototyping, testing, and iterative design refinement - Comfort with global travel and collaborative problem-solving
