Forgepoint is building AI-powered back-office software for American manufacturers, helping companies eliminate spreadsheets and manual data entry in departments like quoting, purchasing, invoicing, and sales coordination. This is a 0→1 GTM Engineer role at the intersection of engineering and go-to-market. You'll be the technical builder behind the GTM motion, creating automations and tooling that make sales and marketing fast and scalable. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founder and sales/marketing leaders, you'll identify bottlenecks and build systems to remove them.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and own outbound systems: account sourcing, enrichment, personalized outreach, routing, and follow-up
- Maintain GTM data foundation by connecting CRM, enrichment tools, and internal systems; automate deduplication, lifecycle updates, and pipeline reporting
- Convert founder-led sales workflows into repeatable systems for account research, call prep, follow-ups, proposals, and pipeline reviews
- Build AI-powered tools and agents that accelerate sales and marketing with better information and personalization
- Partner directly with sales and marketing to identify bottlenecks, run experiments, measure conversion, and ship improvements quickly
- Own production systems end-to-end: integrate APIs, handle edge cases, monitor reliability, document systems, and maintain uptime
You'll work in person five days a week in the NYC office with a founder and growth mindset. Expect hands-on work with APIs, scripts, and LLMs daily, with tight feedback loops from the people using what you build.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical ability to script, call APIs, and wire tools together into reliable systems
- Product sense for what moves pipeline, not just what looks cool
- Comfort owning systems end-to-end from idea to production
- Fast, experimental mindset obsessed with leverage
- Fluency with AI and LLM tooling with ability to find new applications
- Alignment with mission to strengthen American manufacturing
- Commitment to in-person work five days per week in NYC
BONUS:
- Experience building GTM automations with Clay, Apollo, enrichment providers, or CRM APIs
- Background blending engineering with sales or marketing operations
- Track record shipping internal AI tools with team adoption
