Granola is building an AI-powered notepad for people in back-to-back meetings, helping teams turn messy conversations into structured insight. The product has grown almost entirely organically, and the company is now looking to understand, accelerate, and systematize that growth.
As Growth Engineer, you will own the full growth experimentation cycle—from identifying opportunities in the funnel to shipping, measuring, and deciding what to kill or double down on. You'll build and iterate on activation, onboarding, sharing, and retention flows that convert first-time users into daily habits. You'll partner with product, marketing, and data teams to surface growth levers and ship improvements that compound over time.
Key responsibilities include developing experimentation infrastructure (A/B testing, attribution tracking, analytics tooling) so teams can move fast and learn faster; translating user behavior and funnel data into practical product or engineering changes; defining success metrics before building, evaluating impact honestly, and balancing speed with strong product judgment; and helping shape how growth operates at Granola—the metrics that matter, the playbooks, and the bar for what good looks like.
You'll work in-person from the London office most of the time, in a high-velocity startup environment where you define your own priorities and ship without detailed specs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in growth, product, or full-stack engineering, ideally with end-to-end ownership of experimentation, optimization, or conversion work
- Strong product sense and user experience intuition; ability to see problems from multiple angles
- Good understanding of metrics, success measurement, and iteration
- Experience in a high-velocity startup or environment where you've had to move fast, define priorities, and ship without detailed specs
- Comfort working across the growth stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js, product analytics tools, and A/B testing infrastructure
- First and foremost a builder; excited to work in-person from London office
- Experience working in a startup or drawn to the zero-to-one phase
- Curious about AI, product systems, and how growth loops work
- Clear communicator, comfortable collaborating across product, marketing, and engineering; comfortable with ambiguity in fast-moving environments
